Rega designs and assembles every product by hand in their custom-built 38,000 square foot facility in the South East of England, with their product range exported globally to 46 different countries. A HISTORY OF REGA

Since humble beginnings back in 1973 Rega’s initial success was built upon award-winning tonearms and turntables but Rega has been making complete hi-fi systems since the eighties. Engineering has always been the beating heart of Rega Research, a company obsessed with specialist materials, tolerances and accuracy.

From day one every Rega product has been designed to achieve the best musical performance and deliver a lifetime of musical enjoyment at an affordable price.

To this day, Rega remains a dedicated British manufacturer and now employs over 140 people selling to 46 different countries.

ROY GANDHI

It may surprise a number of people to learn that Roy Gandy did not arrive in this world as a fully formed hi-fi turntable engineer. The process was slow and often painful, marked by significant incidents along the way. The engineer was born out of the frustration of a two-year-old child unable to fix a broken toy sand tipper. The engineer was fostered in the necessity of a seven-year-old boy having to repair and maintain his bicycle by himself in order to ride to school…

From our purpose-built 38,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility in the South East of England, Rega now sells worldwide to 46 different countries, has more than 140 employees and is currently hand assembling on average 8,500 products and accessories every single month.
